Feeding the strays : dogs and cats

I can’t remember when I ever start to take this task as a feeder so “religiously” and “faithfully” but I do know I have been doing this about 3 years. (A big thank you to those that had been part of this too through their kind support ) Perhaps I am aware what is hunger and how it is to feel hungry and do not want the animals to be hungry as well. If I can’t find them a home, catch them and spay/neuter them, well at least I do help to feed them to sustain their life. Everyday on my way to work, I am feeding about 14 dogs and when I come back in the evening, I am feeding about 10 cats all on the road. I have not get the photos of the cats yet and sometimes it is dark and I cant take pictures at all. Their happiness and joy and running/trotting to me or  after my car when ever they see me really makes my heart string “pluck” with joy. These are some pictures and I pack the pellets with newspapers (degradable) if it does not rain. If it rains then I throw those that are packed with plastics. Of course there is the picking up and properly disposing it the next day if it does not rain. We got to be environmental conscious too. For the dogs, I had to throw it out of the car window. For the cats, a bit more gentle, i e stopping and giving them the pellets.:)

Thanks to Dr Loh, Dr Veranoot, Ms Rachael for contributing the dog and cat food to me.

Still new in this website

I am still new in writing or blogging though writing has been my hobby. I was told that I did not do very well in my new postings. However, I have to find time to blog/write that is why for years I am just “doing the work” not having the time to blog. You see, my hours are spent in taking care of those that came to me to be fostered. Every morning have to feed, clean before going to work. On the way feed lots of them who will wait at the roadside be it cats or dogs. Evening is the same routine. Though it is mundane, I enjoy it.. so it is orite as long as you enjoy it. The  8 hours in the office is focus on meeting datelines, carrying out the tasks that it turned to be results, checking and inspecting and going on site and also charting the kpi and doing reports to give fair and just reports on our subordinates and ensuring they get what they deserve. I really have to squeeze my time to blog and write. Up to now I am not sure if I will fare well but for the sake of the animals, I would like to do my best if it would help.

This weekend I was very delighted to have Opet and Oyen back with me. Mr Shahrul and family had to attend a kenduri. The two Os have grow so big, from skinny, featherless weight,  tiny-minnie  to a healthy fat fat 0.75gm. I bathed them and they smelled so nice. They missed the three kids, abang, kakak and adik and when they came, the two Os were so quiet,..I guess they have forgotten that I was the one that syringe feed them and took them up from the shrubs. It took a day for them to familiarize with me when I wiped and cleaned them after their bath. I am so proud that they are “home bound” already with a loving family. This is the reward that we ask from God as rescuers. A loving tender care touch and a home. Dr said both of them are so pretty and even took and smelled and kissed them :)

Evening came and Mr Shahrul and the kids came. All were smiling as we met and do the “handover” and it took a split of seconds for Opet and Oyen to look up and meow at kakak and adik and both kitties were on their lap.  The two Os are happy and the kiddos are happy too.. of course the adults are happy too and needless to say God is pleased too because we care for His creations too.

This morning, I also spent time on humans. Hopefully those who had been critical on me that I only care for animals also know that I have a heart for the humans too. I had to shuttle someone who was of slightly handicapped to a certain place. I had to go and pick up again. I had to spend time to see someone who was emotionally challenged. Almost half of my Sunday was spent on this mission.  Though it was mundane but I enjoy it and very thankful that people have trust in me and had called on me.

Please be patient with me. I am newbie learning to write and blog.

God Bless.
