3 kittens for adoption:lili,kiki,coco

These three once tiny kittens were found huddled together nearby a big drain. I was passing by and since it was dark clouds, I could not think want to think what would happen next. They were then scooped up into my car and were so timid together still even without any ready cage. Now after two months, they have grown and ready for adoption. Already de-tick and first vaccination done. Pse sms to 019 388 5119 and will call back. Lili and Kiki are female. Coco – male.

LiLi-very human attached and manja nature

Coco-still shy but active and playful

KiKi - the smallest - still need to be fattened-lovely kitten

Putih @ Shiro adopted 4th Aug 2012

Putih is adopted ..after 8mths with us! Posting of Putih the rescued dog in the earlier post.

Putih was adopted by Mr Kenny and we were so glad. Kenny  had adopted a pup (Hachi -Japanese means Blackie) from MDDB. (Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better rescue group) I was the one that introduced Kenny to MDDB adoption drive. Now Hachi is about 1 year and need a companion. Putih@Shiro(Japanese means White) seem to be the perfect match.

Putih was bathed and ready to go to new home to meet new family.

Putih all ready to go to new home (in the car)

On Neutral ground.. Introduction by Aurora – Kenny’s daughter

Both dogs on neutral groun(outside the house)

It does not take too long for Hachi and Shiro to turn the garden into their “race course” and both were playing hide and seek…

Shiro and Hachi chasing one another..Shiro has big space 4000 sg ft to run and pant, pant, pant

At last, all settled down and family photo… papa Kenny, mama Angela and Princess Arora.. and Hachi and Shiro… This is the day the Lord had made…a happy day .. Thanks so much Mr Kenny and sis Angela..
for giving Shiro a “home”..

A big happy family...

Putih had been fostered by me for 8 months. He was active, attention zapper, damn good guard dog, and his mischevious acts can make you frown and also laugh. Shiro would be a “smartie” after much patience and discipline and training. A beautiful creature in his own unique way… Have a great life Shiro..
Thank you Simwa Plastic for sponsoring neutering and vacination.

Hachi and Shiro became friends and in a split of seconds, Kenny’s garden turned to a race course!!! Shiro now has 4000 sq ft of garden to run …

Possible long lost siblings and now united!

A tribute to Ms Sabrina Yeap from Julie Pek

Sabrina Yeap – the mother to the lesser furkids :by Julie Pek

Today is the 6th day after her passing on of Sabrina Yeap. My heart still sad and I am still in unbelief that she is no longer with us. Her untimely demise is a shock and  great loss to many friends, animal lovers, rescuers, supporters  and she will be greatly missed by all the furkids and felines that she left behind ..also one goat called Raju. I have known her for three months(helping out as volunteer on saturdays and sundays when I could)  only when she accepted Kelly and Jackie to the furry friends farm. Story can be read in this post Kelly and Jackie. She told me that :” We must do the best for the animals. ” Sabrina Yeap was very dedicated and serve the animals with great compassion. She would explain to me the do and donts of the managing/feeding/caring/washing … etc etc . I was happy too to go and help and at the same time see Kelly and Jackie. I would go with food and drinks for her and John (volunteer from Australia) of which she had to be persuaded to take time to sit and eat. Sabrina Yeap would greet her visitors and volunteers and would said many many times Thank You for the contribution of dog food, cat food or rice to whoever brought in. She has a smiling and pleasant disposition and very approachable and encouraging. She would speak with joy and enthusiasm when she tell you the name and the story of the cat or the dog. She knows them by name and every animals has a name.! She never scold the animals nor get angry or complain.. but she carry the joy in her face when working in the farm. Every chore looks so tough and mundane..but she does it with joy. I told her “Sis Sabrina I don’t think I want to feed the dogs today, the pail of food (cook rice with meat) – more than 25 pails to go around) is so heavy, Last week I got backache. Perhaps today I just wash the bowls”  She would replied with a smile, “Yes, you take a rest, Go and play with Jackie and Kelly. Do not pressure yourself, Just do what you can do. Even small things you do for me means a great help to me.” Of course, I did not leave her alone because I can’t bear to see her doing alone. There are so much to be done in the farm. I wonder where she got the energy of ox from. Even though it was going late, she would tell me that she would come back, she going to pick up 4 pups which was abandoned. She did come back with the 4 pups full of ticks and we plucked the ticks and de-tick until the sun comes down. She would not say NO to people who need help. The last batch of cats she took in was a mother cat and 7 kittens. I was asked to help to put the cats in the bigger cage and gave food and water. Sis Sabrina told me the woman and the son drove from Penang and could not bear to see the mother cat and 7 kittens at the streets. The woman and son then left for Penang on the same day. Kelly and Jackie were getting use to the new place and on my third week visit, they were following Sabrina here and there, trotting behind her. So were other dogs too. Many close friends are so sad about her demise but Sabrina have left a legacy behind.

Sabrina Yeap had contributed to the country by taking so many strays  off the street and neuter and spay the cats and dogs and hence controlling the number of strays. This is the same vision of every animal lover and rescuer. Her famous story is the Ketam dogs. She is the Mother to the many strays like Mother Theresa to the poor she is Mother Theresa to the abandoned and homeless animals. I will always remember her meekness, gentleness, the kindness I see in her eyes, the sweet and healing words to the animals and to her friends. One can tell from her face that she had endureth much and done much. She is an extra-ordinary woman. She is awesome and her love towards the animals are amazing. I am very honoured and privileged to know her and have friendship with her even though it was a brief  period. . I pray that all her friends, supporters, volunteers, animal lovers will continue with her legacy of Furry Friend Farm that she left behind.

Your furkids will miss you dearly and Thank you  Ms Sabrina Yeap  for doing so much for the animals.

May you rest in peace.

Friends and frukids a the funeral:19th July

Sabrina was an orphan. These children are also from the orphanage.

Gary – the wise cat (neighbour’s)

This is Gary. I find him exceptionally wise…because when Mr Shidi our new neighbour lock him in the cage..Gary opens the cage himself. One day, even Mr Shidi tied the cage door with strings, then you find Gary walking about in the garden in the afternoon. Gary will come to me and I will give him food and water. He likes the can food and also the pellets.

Gary is special, imported and we do not mind having Gary come to our place. He does not fight with Neat neat, Moo Moo, Lu Lu, or Moonie. Why? Because Gary fierce face scare them off.. Especially Babe.. little Babe will make way for Gary.. Good old Gary… we welcome you as long as you dont fight okay..

My 6th visits to no kill santuary

Since Kelly and Jackie had been located there, I had been a volunteer too to help out with the many works that are needed. It is an eye opener to see how a shelter is run and honestly it is a huge, enormous, awesome and a very very mundane tasks to be carried out there. I have helped out in almost all categories of work, the cleaning up of the cattery, the kennels, the cooking (I will tell in detail next week) the washing of the more than 300 bolws, the feeding, and I think that is enough for me.. to be involved in.

This exhaustive work had really made me change my vision of owing  a santuary as I always wanted. Afte visiting and helping out there, I considered it not neccessary to own a santuary, but to help out would be better. At last I manage to get some nice pic of cats relaxing here and there in the santuary. I will put up the dogs department later next week.

I salute and thumbs up to those that own or run a shelter.. May God grant them the continuance strength and wisdom. Thier committment and determination and care giving to these animals are very highly admired and commendable. May your rewards be great in Heaven and here too..

Kudos to Sis Sabrina and Br John for their excellent spirit for this santuary and also to many other volunteers and supporters for this cause..

the cats are resting ,,,,,,,,,

There is always abundant water and food around for them…

they stare at you when you do the work.. they say thank you and I do like the one with the moustache..

and more pictures..it is spacious that they can walk here and there as they like…

All watching you..and earning for a touch, hug.. do come when you can..

U-tim and Pu-tim adopted

U-tim was rescued by Dr Veeranoot. I forstered for her for about 6 months.

At last someone sms me that he wants to adopt a white cat and head a bit black. It fits exactly to U tim and immediately I sent picture to him and immeidately he confirmed to take. The meeting was set on Saturday 10am. I brought Pu tim along too. Pu Tim was taken back by me as I found this kitten being chased and treated badly by a kueh seller outside the verandah of Public Bank in USJ. I scolded the man for being so unkind and the guard asked me to help the scared kitten. As it was 11pm and the guard confirmed that there was no mother cat at all, I took back to save the kitten and named him Pu-Tim.

I am glad Mr Ahmad and his wife and daughter agreed to take Pu tim also. Happiness for me to be able to find U tim and Pu tim a better and safer home.

U tim and Pu tim in the car - going to meet new family. I am gonna miss you both...

This is how Pu tim look like.. after three weeks with me,, he had grown cute, chuby and hensem ….

Sayang the one eye cat

This cat was spotted with one eye closed. On further investigation and enquiry, the cat was rescued as it is from Kepong area. He kept coming close to Dr Veera and immediate arrangements was made to have it sent to clinic.

Sayang was operated and remants of eyeball inside was removed. It could be due to injury fights with other cats or infection.

Dr Veera sponsored the operation, neuter and I sponsored the vaccination and the staying of two nights. Thanks to Dr Edmund who already said was a special price too. God bless .
