They barked and “complained” ?? when they spotted me. Climbed on thier two front legs and really came to greet me and did not let me go…hehhehhehaaa.. and they are freinds to the many other dogs there too and not forgetting Br John and Sis Sabrina too..

Jackie and Kelly (after the loss of Harry)

I fear that Jackie and Kelly will meet the same fate as Harry. (read Tribute to Harry)

I took them away. Daytime they  were locked in a cage in amongst the vast field hidden by trees and shrubs. Evening before dark, they had their walk and as dark falls, they were shifted to a friend’s house that were being renovated. Hence they have not much space except to sit and turned around. It was fine. Morning next 7am they had thier walk and breakfast and they chase birds and squirrels and barks at cats.:(

Jackie's morning walk

kelly loves the morning walk

After much homework and time scouting for a safe place for Jackie and Kelly, I found someone that would take them in. Also, the distance was not far and I could visit them as much as I want. I had to bring both to the vet, to get them endorsed that they are good health, vaccinated and given booster one year against heart work. Of course they had been spayed many months back.

Today, after two weeks stay with me, I drove them to the no kill santuary. I will miss them so much and as feeder to these two nice furry kids, they were very attached to me. Look at thier faces, they seem to be thinking about me ..hahhaha. They were sad when I had to go after I helped to clean the cat areas. I was there from morning to evening. Thanks to Mr Reduan who led me the farm as I was not sure how to go. May God bless your kindness.

A tribute to Harry-white dog

Harry - Rest In Peace

Today Harry passed on at 630pm after an accident.  As a feeder one of the saddest things is when you dont find the furkid there anymore when it is feeding time. It had been part of my mundane and yet joyous mundane to feed them but their missing is also like they have taken part of me with them away. Only God can continue to ease my pain and to trust Him that Harry is in good hands.. a place of no pain and suffering, plenty of food as well. I shall miss his happy bark and trotting towards me, dancing in circles and leaping with joy. All my many friends who cared for Harry will certainly miss this chap. This is dedicated to him, the Rainbow Bridge and Harry has broken one of my cords of my heart strings..

Love you Harry, I was glad that I could give you the best and all you also got a hosts of human friends that miss you too.

Dedicated to Harry

BLESSED GOOD FRIDAY AND HAPPY EASTER!

Today is Good Friday. All Christians is thankful for this day for what Jesus did for us on this awesome day. I am very grateful and thankful to the Lord.

I ponder the questions some people asked me about my connections to rescue work as on thier mind they said Jesus focus on people more than animals. I did a study on this and even ordered a book from the Amazon just to read and affirm of my passion. At last to summarise briefly.I personally believe I  am on the right track.

God also love animals though it was not mentioned in fine details compared to the works of doing good and salvation of human beings. God from Genesis time, already saved the animals via Noah’s ark. Jesus was born in manger amongst the horses and other animals, a lot of animals were described and used in the bibles to teach to humans like parables of the lost sheep, giving bread to the dogs, the dove as messenger, the donkey talked, the whale swalloed Jonah, the cattles in the field, the sparrows,  in Book of  relvelation the horses, leopards, lions, lambs etc were mentioned.  God also comforted in the bible that the righteous provide and take care of thier animals (Proverbs 23-10)

The bottom line I should not be bothered if being questioned on why I spent time on animals welfare. Recently one wise man (a friend) told me and comforted me with his wise sayings – caring and touching the animals also touch the humans. Taking the animals to be spayed and neutered is keeping their numbers low otherwise the human beings cant manage at all with many strays running the whole streets!. Furthermore, this quarter I have spent time in helping and visiting charity homes and of course needless to say that I do not think it is neccessary to blog/talk about  it. I still like to talk about the animals.

Thanks Lord for helping me all this while and giving me the strength to care for your creations and the many freinds that You have sent to be with me.

Visit to FurryFriendsFarm-Kundang

After much planning and telephone calls, we are glad to be able to visit the farm. It was not easy to go as I had to ask for a God sent driver, Sis Sabrina Yeap make time to wait for us, Sis Dawn waited for us half way, Dr Veeranoot drop all other appointments, and I myself had to put all together and it was a succesful visit. We only had one and half hour and we are proud to say that we helped out in the cattery only (Next time would be the dog areas) meaning, we fill the water bowl with fresh water, sweep the entire area, clean up and fill up the litter (pengsan job), fill the bowls with food, wash the area, wipe the eyes of the cats, comb their hairs…. etc etc. the picture says a thousand words. There were about 160 cats and more than 100 over dogs. I salute to Sis Sabrina. If no volunteers turn up, she had to do all the work by herself. On that day, there were two other brothers also volunteered.Thank You sis Sabrina for doing so much for the animals. God bless you.

Little kittie goes to clinic

At last I found and make time to bring little kittie to clinic. His hind leg were injured and slightly limping. The mange at the ear was not very good sight. Dr gave a jab and it should be better. Watch out for the next posting.  Thanks to co sponsor for the treatment, Ms Jess Fong. Dr advised that kittie be  in cage rest for at least few days , so I put kittie in cage and bring home. I will  release kittie to his home ground – where I feed them everyday when he is better.

The story of Lulu@Malu the Ninth Cat

Sponsored all 9 cats: neuter and spaying : Ms Catherine Yin

Date rescued : August 2011

Lulu was the ninth cat that was rescued from a factory. The other 8 cats had gone to a sanctuary, and Lulu was supposed to be there too. However, after waiting for a week, the person did not turn up. He said he was hospitalised. I had to take Lulu out from the clinic as it was there too long. Lulu ended up in my place. She was the fierceist and most unfriendly cat initially. After two weeks with me, she turned into a very tame, frightened and shy cat. I guess she miss all her “gang and click” maybe. She could hide here and there and I had to coax her to come out.

Today after 5 months (as no adopters) she was named Lulu (as she is Malu-malu) and I am so proud to say that Lulu is very brave, climbs the trees and whenever I return home in the evening, and as I open the cage door (morning, they are let out of the cage before I go to work) she would be the first one to hop into the cage. Isnt that sweet? Now her good friends are Moo Moo and Neat Neat.  I love Lulu so much as she bears the corporate colour of the company that she was found. It is brindle, black and strong yellow and her white body. Sometimes I do ponder why should we get angry over things that does not turn out to be what we wanted. I did call and call the owner of the santuary and was upset about him not keeping his words though I have paid him  for Lulu’s stay. I feel disappointed that one could do this dishonesty to the animals but everytime I look at Lulu I feel so blessed that Lulu is still with me.

Lulu - as cool as cucumber

Little MauMau (Limau)needs help

This little kitty orange in colour was around the vicinity where I stay. Every day after work, even if it is late like 8 or 9pm when I reached home, I would go and feed the ‘gang” and little MauMau is one of the 5 gang. She was very afraid and would hide under the car and I would have to throw the  cat pellets under the car. After many weeks, (cant remember) last three days, she came to me, let me touch her. She would even roll over after her meal and there is no need to put the pellets under the car anymore.

However, she is not well. Her skin problem is not getting better and her eyes are watery. I will bring her to the vet tomorrow and truly thank God that there is a partial sponsor already when I share my story of little Mau Mau to her. Ms Jessica Fong does not have any pet as she stays in high rise condo, but her heart has a soft spot for the animals . She was the one that told me about Ruffy – and now Ruffy has a place to stay and food to eat every day. Ruffy has been taken off the streets. (Full story of Ruffy in this website too.) Ms Jessica also would go way out to buy bread for the 3 Lucky Trios too. (See the full story at the website)

Knowing her is an eye opener to me that tells me that it is possible that even a non pet owner has a heart for the  “lesser animals”.  A basketful of thanks to Ms Jessica Fong.
